The only Spanish company in the Global 100 of the most influential documentary production companies in the world is Explora Films. RealScreen, a Canadian magazine specialized in documentaries and with worldwide distribution, is responsible for annually preparing this list of the most valued and respected production companies of the genre in the world.

Considered one of the most prestigious and valued publications by documentary professionals, RealScreen compiles an annual list of the companies with the greatest presence in the international market that is made public during MIPDOC, the most important specialized documentary market in the world, and attended by buyers from all over the world.

The Spanish production company Explora Films appears on this year's “Global 100” list. The companies that are part of this prestigious list are chosen not only by the editorial team but also by television buyers and programmers from around the world, recognizing not only the most influential production companies in the documentary genre, but also the most respected and valued of the year.

The list is made up of mainly American, Canadian, British and Australian production companies, with a limited presence of European or Asian companies. Explora becomes the only Spanish production company within these 100 most influential companies in the world, which in the words of its distribution director, Carlos Sevillano, “it is a great honor and pride to be part of the Global 100, at the same time as it is a recognition of the important internationalization work carried out by the company since its creation in 2004.”

Explora Films is currently attending MIPTV where it presents its new documentary productions to television stations around the world and where it hopes to close new sales agreements that will consolidate it as one of the most valued companies worldwide in the documentary genre.
