Tedial He has announced the extension of the project with the National Telecommunications Commission of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela (Conatel) highlighting its strong commitment to the region. This installation will allow the industry regulatory body to add channels in new locations throughout the country as well as completely digitize its historical archive.

Conatel, Tedial client since 2008, uses the Tarsys Mam solution and is expanding the service provided through the installation of four monitoring systems in the states of Zulia, Táchira, Lara and Nueva Esparta. These facilities will train Conatel to record 24 hours a day the broadcasts of 32 new radio and television channels broadcast outside Caracas, covering the main cities of the country. The registered material will be stored in disk and tape bookstore, controlled by the AST solution (HSM) of Tedial. Thanks to the remote consultation services provided by Tarsys, Conatel experts, from the main headquarters in Caracas, can examine the recordings of each installation and select the material to send it to the Central Archive of CONATEL where it will be stored indefinitely and will be part of the data network.

Aura Marina Reina, technology and information manager of Conatel has indicated that "the new monitoring network provides Conatel with the possibility of analyzing informative news in much of the Venezuelan territory using a current technology and extensible to new locations in the near future."

Tedial, to allow the Historical Archive to be able to contribute, will also contribute its solution for the management of Ingesta, Capture, which is equipped with advanced digitalization and cataloging tools and is integrated into the Tarsys system. The goal of Conatel is to have all the content at its main headquarters in Caracas by the end of this year.

For the live broadcast registration, all new venues will have the Capture Live product that allows the forecast and live cataloging of the recordings before being ingested in the file, allowing Conatel to cover their need for immediate access to information.

The Tarsys system, initially installed in 2008, facilitates the recording of the broadcasts of the 13 televisions and 96 radios that operate in Caracas. Before launching the Tedial Tarsys system, Conatel had been making VHS recordings, creating a historical file of more than 90,000 hours of material.

Rafael Dubois, commercial director of Tedial has indicated that “we are delighted to make this statement on Tedial today. Tarsys has completely changed the work in Conatel during the last three years, providing an advanced system that safeguards its assets for the future and allows to increase its level of television and radio monitoring to ensure that regulatory standards are always fulfilled.”
