Unitecnic designed, installed and provided technical assistance for the broadcast infrastructure of the TV Compound of the Spanish Formula 1 Grand Prix held last weekend in Barcelona. The audiovisual engineering company will repeat the operation at the next European Grand Prix at the Circuit de València.

For the third consecutive year, Unitecnic has successfully participated in the television production of the Spanish Formula 1 Grand Prix, held last weekend in Montmeló. It collaborated with Mediapro, which was the host broadcaster in Spain for Formula One Management (FOM) and which distributed the signal to the most prestigious television stations around the world.

Unitecnic was responsible for the design, installation and technical support of the TV Compound broadcast infrastructure for the distribution of international signals from all broadcasters.

All the infrastructure provided in this edition has been Full HD, since for the first year all production has been done in high definition. In this way, the system has been able to distribute three types of differentiated signals: WIF (Wide International Feed), NIF (Narrow International Feed) and the program signal for the large format screens located throughout the circuit. The supplied infrastructure has been able to distribute WIF and NIF signals to up to 20 different destinations. In addition, Unitecnic has been responsible for the distribution of the international program and audio signal to the 30 commentary booths present on the circuit.

The demands of the event have meant that all the designed infrastructure has met the highest levels of quality and redundancy that have guaranteed optimal functioning of the system throughout the Grand Prix.

Unitecnic will repeat the operation again on the occasion of the European Grand Prix, which will take place from June 24 to 26 at the Circuit de València, to which the team of engineers involved in the project will once again travel.
