IX Night of Telecommunications and SI

Consolidated as one of the most important events in the Andalusian technological panorama, it will bring together the main agents and promoters of the ICT sector on June 16 in Seville in an environment aimed at promoting collaboration and networking.

On June 16, Seville will host the celebration of the ninth edition of the Telecommunications and Information Society Night, a meeting organized by the Association of Telecommunications Engineers of Western Andalusia (ASITANO), with the special collaboration of the Official College of Telecommunications Engineers of Western Andalusia and Ceuta (COITAOC), which has established itself as one of the most important events on the Andalusian technological scene.

As usual, a large and representative group of administrations, entities and companies in the Information and Communication Technologies sector have dedicated themselves to this event where more than 400 attendees gather, among whom are personalities, professionals as well as managers and representatives of relevant institutions and companies, to create a point of confluence between all the agents and promoters of the ICT sector, in an environment aimed at promoting collaboration and networking as a way of contributing to business competitiveness and favoring business in a time of difficult economic situation like the current one

Likewise, the Night will serve to highlight the important role that Telecommunications Engineering currently plays for the development of innovation in administrations, institutions, the business community and society in general, in addition to being a useful tool to provide services to society through the multiple activities it develops in the field of ICT.

Plenary conference

The ninth edition of the Telecommunications and SI Night features the celebration, in an event prior to the Gala Dinner, of the Plenary Telecommunications Conference, a presentation given by a leading personality within the field of telecommunications and New Technologies, which aims to present interesting conclusions about the current situation of the sector and its important contribution to the innovation of the productive sectors and, therefore, to the economy of Spain.

This year, Ricardo Alvariño, deputy director general of Infrastructure and Technical Regulations of the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and the Information Society, will be in charge of giving this presentation with the title “New Regulations on ICT and Ultrafast Networks”.

Andalusian Awards

Likewise, like every year, the Meeting hosts the Andalusian Telecommunications Awards ceremony which, in the categories Engineer of the Year, Business Excellence and Business Innovation, publicly recognizes the work, trajectory, innovation and dedication of professionals, institutions and companies that work in the Telecommunications sector in Andalusia.

Professionals of the stature of Miguel Milano, vice president and general director of Oracle Ibérica, or Benigno Lacort, former CEO of Sandetel, as well as representative companies such as Sadiel, Magtel, Wellness Telecom or Telefónica, have been some of those awarded this award in recent years.
