The Federation of Associations of Spanish Audiovisual Producers (FAPAE) has shown its satisfaction with the success of the call for the VI edition of Madrid De Cine- Spanish Film Screenings, an event organized by Spanish producers that for Spanish sellers, film buyers and the international press has become an essential event in the market calendar.

In Madrid de Cine, international buyers watch, for three days, Spanish films in the Princesa cinemas; Sales agents who wish to do so have a stand for exclusive use, located in a preferential area at the Meliá Princesa Hotel, venue of the event, where there are also tables for shared use for the rest of the participants, as well as a video library so that buyers can watch new Spanish films and catalogues.

27 titles available to buyers

To the VI edition of Madrid de Cine, which was sponsored by director Fernando Trueba,
75 companies from 29 countries have attended and 47 films have participated in the Screenings. The most viewed films have been There will be no peace for the wicked, Heroes, Don't be afraid, 18 meals, Blackthorn y 3 meters above the sky.

A total of 217 titles, 79 more than in the previous edition, were available to buyers in the video library, in which 96 viewings were made. The most requested films have been 3 meters above the sky, Returns, An almost perfect world, What is a bear for?, Flamenco, Flamenco, Miss Tacuarembó y Don't call it love, call it X.

21 international media (newspapers, magazines, radio and television) attended from the United Kingdom, France, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Greece and correspondents from the US, Central America and Latin America. The international press conducted more than 170 interviews with actors, directors and producers of 15 Spanish films. The films that have aroused the greatest interest among the international press have been Blackthorn, where its director Mateo Gil has been interviewed, Boy and Rita to Fernando Trueba, paper birds to Emilio Aragón and Lluís Homar and sad trumpet ballad to Álex de la Iglesia.

Parallel activities

In this VI Madrid edition of Cine-Spanish Film Screenings, the now usual Working Breakfast was held with the national and international press.
