Rubio has participated in some of the most important series on Spanish television such as 'Family Doctor' and 'Periodistas' and more recently in hits such as 'La Señora' or 'Gavilanes'.

Plural Entertainment has just appointed Ignasi Rubio Jarque as director of new projects. Rubio takes charge of some of the most ambitious projects that the production company has underway, such as the adaptation of the emblematic series Cheers for Telecinco and new fiction series for different operators.

"Now more than ever, watching television should be a positive experience. An opportunity to get excited and continue dreaming. That is the type of fiction that at Plural we would like to make," commented Rubio, about to begin filming the Spanish version of Cheers.

Since 1995, Ignasi Rubio has participated as a screenwriter, script coordinator, adapter or creator of series such as Journalists, Family doctor, Raquel looks for her place, Ventdelplà, Spring tides, The Mata family, The lady o Sparrowhawks, among others. He has also been executive producer at Notro Televisión and head of fiction for the production company Tesauro.

Rubio replaces Toni Sevilla in the position, who is undertaking a new professional challenge at a television network.
