Designed for productions with a large proliferation of shots with chroma-key and special effects, the new Karesslite 6012 FX that we can see at IBC 2011 is a new solution for cinema and television based on LEDs. Gekko.
Switchable between blue (440 nanometers) and green (525 nanometers) outputs, Karesslite 6012 FX incorporates 6 x 12 LED emitters in a 600x300 millimeter format mounted on a device with a depth of 165 millimeters and a weight of 7 kilos.
One of its main advantages is that it produces high-quality light with a uniform color throughout the dimming range. Since the LED is a light emission source with a narrow spectral band, it is ideal for illuminating chromas with perfect clipping and without heat generation in small studios.
It consumes just 85 watts, and can operate autonomously with V-mount batteries for up to an hour and a half. It can also be powered via DC 12-40 volts via a 4-pin XLR connector or directly from the mains.
This Gekko LED solution has a built-in dimmer, sector shutdown selection and integrated DMX. An integral diffusion grille allows correct output from a single light source with minimal loss, while a honeycomb panel allows a more directional effect to be created. In addition, Gekko offers different accessories for mounting, transportation and remote dimming.
