RTS designs NOMAD, an intercom designed for critical communications
RTS Intercom has brought its new NOMAD wireless intercom system to IBC 2025, a proposal that offers high reliability, mobility and scalability, which guarantees fluid communication in critical situations.
“At RTS, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of wireless communication technology,” says Trevor Donarski, product manager at RTS Intercoms. “NOMAD offers the perfect combination of reliability, scalability and seamless integration, ensuring mission-critical equipment stays connected when it matters most.”
Built on RTS's legacy of innovation, NOMAD offers audio full-duplex, seamless roaming between multiple sites and an ultra-durable design, with rated hardware IP-65, redundant fiber and copper connectivity, and seamless ST2022-7 support.
In sectors where every second counts, such as broadcast, NOMAD offers a future-proof solution that enables real-time coordination. The RTS proposal offers wireless freedom with connectivity based on license-free DECT for greater reach and security, scalability that supports up to 120 access points per system, crystal clear audio with a built-in AEC speaker and improved sound processing, continuous operation with simultaneous charging and a battery life of more than 18 hours. It also integrates perfectly with the matrix RTS Digital Matrix via OMNEO, Dante and AES67.
Trevor Donarski, product director at RTS Intercoms, highlights that “NOMAD does not limit itself to offering wireless technology, but rather provides a fluid, scalable and future-proof communication platform.”
