Cross-platform rights management with ForeTv from MSA Focus
To help maximize the effectiveness of media and broadcast-oriented business management, MSA Focus's ForeTv software solution enables comprehensive rights management across all platforms.
With catch-up and video on demand services growing in popularity around the world, managing the rights available for each content and each platform is an increasingly challenging challenge.
To help maximize the effectiveness of the media and its broadcast-oriented business management, the ForeTv software solution from MSA Focus now expands its capabilities.
ForeTV tools are designed to help broadcasters manage content effectively across all platforms. Given the number of tasks around acquisition, rights and financing that coexist in the broadcast management business, users must be able to fine-tune the system to present the information they need in a clear, intuitive format with the look and feel they need.
Along with the non-linear management modules, the commercial sales module has also been updated. It now offers a transparent touch screen system that allows operators to quickly plan and book multi-channel campaigns. It also provides links between broadcast and non-linear environments so that advertisers can book before, during and post-roll commercials, at the same time as linear spots.
Simplicity and customization
“It is important to realize the extent to which a clear and personalized user interface allows us to eliminate errors and maximize productivity, focusing on developing the capabilities of responding to our users' requests,” said Mark Evans, CEO of MSA Focus. "At the same time, you have to be able to analyze the business to understand what is working well and what areas need attention. In addition, management reports must be clear and immediately understandable," he added.
ForeTV is based on Microsoft SQL tools along with MS Report Builder and Report Services. This means users can drill down into the data, drag and drop it to create custom reports with graphical presentations. Given the complex nature of non-linear content delivery, this is a powerful way to make management information intuitive and understandable.
At IBC 2011 MSA Focus will demonstrate new non-linear traffic and sales modules based on Windows Presentation Foundation. The new environment will be completed across the entire software suite in early 2012.
According to Evans, “users feel more comfortable when they can set exactly how they want to view the system, and when they are confident that data is linked and accessible throughout the entire process.”
