The professionals from the engineering consulting company 3G Engineering have begun working exclusively for Ross Video this July, establishing its new R&D laboratory based in Boston.

Its founders, Roger Smith, Ernest Paul, and Greg Carlson are part of the team that developed some of the most popular mixing consoles in the former Echolab, today integrated into Black Magic Design, such as the Atem line.

The launch of this laboratory marks Ross's second round of hiring former Echolab employees. Nigel Spratling, former president of Echolab, joined Ross in 2010 as MKT and business development manager.

This new research headquarters in Boston will thus join the R&D centers that Ross already has in Canada, the Netherlands and Australia.

David Ross, CEO of Ross Video, has been very impressed with the capabilities of the 3G Engineering team. “This is a great way to enhance our research and development, as well as our presence in the United States, making Ross an even more global company.”
