DVS has enhanced its Clipster solutions for DI, the Venice and SpycerBox servers and the new family of Atomix controllers.

DVS, which will be presenting its latest products at IBC, has further enhanced the strengths of its DI Clipster workstation for Europe's largest industry event in Amsterdam. In addition to an expanded feature set for mastering and digital mediating, Clipster now also enables Mezzanine format mastering for Interoperable Master Formats (IMF).

As a Mezzanine format, IMF allows you to version different distribution formats quickly. With the DVS flagship it is also possible to record directly and losslessly to JPEG2000 file sequences. Additionally, the new AVC-Intra Class 200 codec, part of Panasonic's AVC-Ultra codec group, expands the diversity of distribution formats offered by Clipster.

Venice, the multichannel video server for the broadcast market, also includes new features for IBC. In addition to high-quality codecs such as JPEG2000 and AVC-Intra Class 200, Venice also supports Avid's ISIS and Interplay systems, handling 3D stereo material effortlessly. The size of the DVS video server has also changed: VENICE is now available in a 2U slimline rack, thus offering space for internal storage of up to 9 TB.

As for SpycerBox, it is already prepared to make its entry into the IBC with its extraordinary performance. The SpycerBox is available in two versions (SpycerBox Flex and SpycerBox Ultra), and can be integrated into any storage environment. The SpycerBox Flex offers real-time support for five parallel streams of uncompressed 2K video. With a storage capacity of 43.2 TB, the compact “SAN in a box” offers all the functionality of a professional storage system, in addition to being easy to manage thanks to its Point Management Sole.

New SDK features, a mixer, as well as DirectShow support are some of the many new features with which DVS has equipped its family of Atomix video controllers for the IBC. The Atomix series meets all the necessary requirements for high-end film, HDTV post-production, broadcast applications and demanding presentations. Following its debut at NAB 2011, the Atomix HDMI video controller is introduced at IBC as the perfect complement to the range of features in the DVS product line.
