Hitachi buys 70% of Linear
La japonesa Hitachi Kokusai anuncia en Broadcast&Cable 2011 la compra del 70% del popular fabricante brasileño de sistemas RF Linear. Con más de tres décadas en el sector de la radiodifusión y más de 30.000 sistemas implantados en unos 40 países, Linear es toda una referencia mundial en sistemas de transmisión de tv.
La noticia más sorprendente del Broadcast & Cable 2011 que se ha celebrado esta semana en Sao Paulo (Brasil) ha sido el anuncio del acuerdo entre la brasileña Linear and the Japanese Hitachi Kokusai for the acquisition of 70% of the broadcast equipment manufacturing company.
With this operation, Hitachi fully enters new markets, especially in Brazil, with its line of microwaves and HDTV cameras, among others.
Linear has confirmed that it will continue to work under the same name, distributing its transmitters, including in Japan.
