Wholer and EITV launch solution for Closed Caption
The new joint solution between Wholer and EITV will facilitate the management of subtitle data, thus helping broadcasters to comply with the requirements of the legislation that is being imposed on this matter in numerous countries. Based on the ARIB-B37 pattern for subtitles over HD video, the solution also makes it possible to distribute Closed Caption from the network headend to affiliate broadcasters.
The new joint solution between Wholer y SOMETHING It will facilitate the management of subtitle data, thus helping broadcasters to comply with the requirements of the legislation that is being imposed on this matter in numerous countries.
For this integrated Closed Caption solution, designed specifically for Brazil and other South American markets, Wohler offers a hardware layer that performs decoding of subtitle data in the CEA-608/708 and B37 patterns for HD/SD-SDI video signals in broadcast facilities.
EITV is offering the capture system and services necessary to connect sources to signs, including automation systems, voice recognition, sign archives, stenotyping systems and others. This turnkey solution provides enormous benefits, allowing quick and easy setup of a complete system that meets all captioning and voice requirements at once. This solution will soon be available in other territories outside of South America.
