Telestream has appointed Steve Ellis as the new vice president of Emerging Markets and Kevin McCartney as the new vice president of Product Sales within the framework of the company's ambitious strategy to position itself in the Asia-Pacific and Latin American markets.

Telestream has decided to assign new sales management roles to some of its managers to help drive the long-term expansion of its businesses in both established and emerging markets. Thus, Steve Ellis has been appointed vice president of Emerging Markets and Kevin McCartney, vice president of Product Sales. These changes will allow the company to better address emerging markets in the Asia-Pacific and Latin American regions, while continuing to maintain strong momentum in North America and the EMEA area (Europe, Africa and the Middle East).

Dan Castles, CEO of Telestream, commented: "We have positioned our company around the world, and we are now prepared for more aggressive growth. The realignment of our management team allows us to focus more attention on the main regions of the world to grow our business and serve the needs of our customers more effectively."

In his new role, Steve Ellis will lead a team that will be responsible for driving business in emerging markets in Asia Pacific and Latin America. In his previous role as Vice President of Sales, Ellis successfully developed such markets that are now positioned for accelerated growth through customer-centric sales initiatives.

For his part, Kevin McCartney will expand his duties as Vice President of Business Agility to drive the company's business in North America and EMEA. Although both directors will collaborate on key accounts internationally, McCartney's priority efforts will be aimed at the company's growing activity in these two regions of the world. McCartney joined Telestream in September 2010, when the company acquired Anystream.

Telestream's growth policy is based on the August 2011 International Multiformat Transcoder Report which asserts that the live and file-based transcoder market segments are being driven by multi-screen initiatives developed by service and content providers. Additionally, global television services are increasing around the world, with the forecast report predicting 300% growth in Asia Pacific from this year to 2015 and 150% growth in Latin America and North America over the same period.
