EMC Isilon: almacenamiento end-to-end
EMC is participating for the first time at Broadcast with a booth where it will unveil Isilon scale-out storage solutions for media and entertainment.
In the next edition of Broadcast IT in Madrid, EMC will show how to optimize workflows in audiovisual environments with its new Isilon scale-out storage solutions, intended primarily for media and entertainment, which are used by more than 400 companies in the audiovisual sector, including Sony, NBC and Turner Broadcasting.
Using Isilon's powerful capabilities, audiovisual organizations will be able to increase their business efficiency by enabling them to simplify and accelerate end-to-end audiovisual file workflows, store and archive important audiovisual assets without interruption, and increase performance by digitizing more online content.
At its booth, EMC will provide product demonstrations of Isilon, an end-to-end storage solution that increases the productivity of applications, workflows and processes important to the business; from initial media creation, through management and production, to content delivery and archiving.
Isilon's single file system allows media producers and artists to store all file-based data in one place, eliminating the need to track where content resides or wait for it to be available locally. Users can work on the same file or on different files at the same time. This generates hundreds of SD, HD and 2K streams to collect, edit, create and offer playback access, all in the same storage pool, without performance degradation.
Isilon storage solutions create a single, high-performance, highly scalable shared storage pool that integrates seamlessly with Windows, Linux, UNIX, and Mac environments.
