Fox Sports expands its HD broadcasting with Quantel

Fox Networks Engineering & Operations (NE&O) selecciona Enterprise sQ de Quantel para la expansión en alta definición del canal deportivo de Fox.

NE&O, empresa que provee de servicios y tecnología al broadcaster al broadcaster de Estados Unidos especializado en deportes Fox Sports Media Group (FSMG), ha escogido la tecnología Enterprise sQ de Quantel for its new high definition services.

The new HD system was launched on September 11 when a total of 37 major sporting events were recorded and broadcast, including 15 NFL games, generating more than 12,000 high-definition clips.

The expansion will enable you to cover the majority of your sports production needs from a single, integrated Quantel platform for both SD and HD broadcasting.

The new installation includes 50 TB of online storage, six sQ View and three sQ Edit as well as 14 Media Viewers for the Dixon loggers

Finally, in a joint development with Fox, Quantel has supplied its new sQ Play 'LiveTouch' control with integrated jog/shuttle panel that allows you to mark the clip and play it again after a few seconds with total flexibility and immediacy.
