Among the new features, the VS-88FO matrix for 3G HD−SDI signals over fiber optics, the two-channel 3G HD-SDI fiber optic transmitter/receiver (690T and 690R) and the compact Aspen 1616HD, 3232HD and 7272HD router stand out.

Among the novelties that Kramer Electronics and its range of solutions Sierra Video will present at IBC 2012, highlighting the VS-88FO matrix for 3G HD−SDI signals over fiber optics. This unit can switch between some or all inputs to one or all outputs. It allows you to work with a maximum speed of 3 Gbps, being compatible with HDTV, and includes Genlock Looping Input and automatic reclocking and equalization.

Also new will be the two-channel 3G HD-SDI fiber optic transmitter/receiver. The 690T and 690R allow you to send and receive signals up to 3G-SDI. The 690T converts two 3G HD−SDI signals to a single-mode fiber optic signal, while the 690R receiver converts back up to two original SDI signals. They have two SDI or BNC inputs, single-mode fiber and LC connectors and two single-mode fiber outputs on LC collectors, and two SDI on BNC connectors.

At its stand we can also see the FC-340S, a cross converter with audio embedder and de-embedder for signals up to 3G HD-SDI. The inputs of this equipment are in SDi while the outputs are one in composite and two SDI. Audio embedded in the SDI input is output to both AES/EBU connectors simultaneously, as well as balanced stereo audio.

Finally, review the compact Aspen 1616HD, 3232HD and 7272HD router for signals from SDI up to 3 Gbps. In 16x16, 32x32 and 72x72 configurations with optional remote panels, this solution is capable of carrying a signal over a cable of up to 155 meters at 3 Gbps.
