PS-CAM X35: shocking images in video clips and extreme sports
Since its launch in 2011, the PS-CAM X35 camera from P+S Technik has been used in numerous video art jobs, music videos and extreme sports production.
One of the artists who has used the PS-CAM X35 camera developed by P+S Technik this year is Marilyn Manson, who has used it in the filming of two video clips: No Reflections (03/2012) y Slo-Motion (08/2012) from his album Born Villain.
The motion effects that the PS-CAM X35 allows, shooting between 15 and 18 fps, give the scenes an intense touch and a very interesting dynamic. The possibility of combining motion effects, for example time-lapse and ramps, allows the cinematographer to slide from one time speed to another. The four ramp functions offered by the camera undoubtedly help to create these effects.
Another example of work with PS-CAM X35 can be found in the latest project by New York filmmaker Jacob LaMendola. In Anosmia, a documentary that did very well at the Cannes Film Festival, creates a world that masterfully evokes aromas.
The ability to change recording speeds has made the PS-CAM X35 an alternative to consider for capturing extreme sports such as boxing, surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding and freeride mountain biking.
