The British platform BSkyB and its Italian “sister” Sky have launched this week a new 24-hour channel dedicated to broadcasting James Bond films, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the saga.
Sky Movies 007, will broadcast 22 original Bond films in high definition from October 5 for one month, starting with the 1962 Bond film, Agent 007 vs. Dr. No, said. It will also screen independent titles such as Never say never again y Casino Royal.
The release comes after Sky bought the rights from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios in April, ending a 38-year rivalry with ITV over the film rights.
