Nace en Barcelona el 3D Film & Music Fest

It will be the first music video and documentary festival to be held in Spain and one of the first internationally, which exclusively uses Digital S-3D technology.

5DWorks organiza los días 3, 7 y 8 de diciembre el primer 3D Film & Music Fest. Este festival contará con el apoyo de organismos privados y con la colaboración de instituciones y empresas especializadas en el sector como Kronomav, Panasonic, Apuntolapospo, TV3, Colegio Oficial de Ópticos Optometristas de Cataluña, Observatorium 3D, La Salle, EMAV, International Stereoscopic Union o Eurostereo Foundation.

The experience left by the first two editions of the DogVille 3D Film Festival of Viladecans has already generated synergies between different institutions for the creation of new projects and is giving rise to the development of this new Festival, and there is no doubt that it will give impetus to the creation of future Festivals that can be developed at a national level using stereoscopic technology.

El 3D Film & Music Fest será el primer Festival de videoclip y documental musical que se realiza en el país, y uno de los primeros a nivel internacional, que utiliza en exclusividad la tecnología Digital S-3D. Será un encuentro audiovisual y cultural, de carácter independiente, que pretende convocar a realizadores, profesionales, investigadores, instituciones, universidades, empresas y al público en general en torno a esta tecnología emergente.

The most interesting and innovative thing about this Festival is that its inauguration coincides with 3D Day (December 3), which is expected to be established as an international day for professionals in the sector, and for this reason its inauguration, and in future inaugurations, the Excellence Awards for the Development and Applications of 3D Technology will be held in which the work of the different institutions, companies and producers that have given a boost to the development of this technology at a national and international level will be recognized.

This festival has been conceived with the original idea of ​​disseminating and publicizing 3D technology and its development possibilities in the field of culture and art. Which is why one of its main purposes is to encourage the creation of new digital artistic content in the same event, as well as to promote research and development of 3D technologies, both in the context of the film industry and in that of new types of interactive applications based on 3D and stereoscopic virtual reality, in addition to its use in the fields of medicine and health.

In the educational field, it is expected that the Festival will also encourage Universities and Institutes, which teach audiovisual and 3D Animation courses, to add to their curricula the bases of the production of 3D stereo content so that future professionals can develop new audiovisual material.
