Mr. Q launches a curious device that incorporates a portable mini-video camera that allows the followers of the God-i user to see and hear what the wearer of the device sees and hears live.

Mr.Q, a Spanish startup located in the heart of Silicon Valley, has presented this week in San Francisco the God-i (Interactive Global Online Device), the first technological device designed to unite Real Life with Social Networks.

It is a device with a characteristic and modern triangular design that incorporates a portable video camera that allows the followers of the 'God-i' user to see and hear what the wearer of the device sees and hears live. Communication is bidirectional since it allows receiving instructions through a speaker. A built-in GPS will indicate the exact position of the 'God-i' wearer at all times.

A multitude of uses related to this novel device are planned. From live monitoring of travelers and adventure sports lovers to its use in sectors such as education, leisure and entertainment.

The God-i is designed as a new Marketing tool for everyone who wants to broadcast their life live, but it has been especially designed for Celebrities who enjoy sharing some of their private moments with their fans. The God-i will allow concerts to be broadcast live from the point of view of the artist, sports from the point of view of athletes, fashion shows from the point of view of models,...

The creator of the new invention is Enrique García, an award-winning entrepreneur from Alava with scientific experience in the field of virtual reality thanks to his previous work in a Berkeley research laboratory for the United States Department of Energy and a well-known filmmaker specialized in 3D Animation, nominated for the Goya and candidate for Oscar nominations twice for his cinematographic works.

The God-i has been a work resulting from uniting his two passions: technology and art, and is inspired by a science fiction story written by himself a few years ago where he described a similar device that was used by the entire population in the near future.

Financing

The recently created technology-based company Mr.Q is located within the 'Spain Tech Center' in San Francisco, an initiative promoted by Fundación Banesto, Icex and red.es, of the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, to facilitate the entry of Spanish technology companies into the North American market.

Mr.Q also has the support of the Álava Business and Innovation Center (C.E.I.A.) and the Basque Government through the Ekintzaile program to support entrepreneurs.

Enrique García is looking for a first round of investment in Silicon Valley to be able to obtain the financial support he needs to propose the international strategy of his innovative product with high growth potential.

Several private investors from the world of Renewable Energy, and a Spanish University with an investment and acceleration program for new projects, have been interested in the God-i project but no agreement has yet materialized. Meanwhile Mr.Q has launched a crowdfunding campaign from San Francisco on Indiegogo, the largest crowdfunding portal in the world, so that all those who want to support this project can do so by contributing from $1, or can even reserve their God-i before its official market launch scheduled for the second half of 2013.

Enrique García also aims to look for strategic partners in Silicon Valley among the technological giants that are located in the area related to hardware manufacturing and social networks.
