Synopsis Media broadcasts the carnivals of Águilas (Murcia) with the SRT protocol
The protocol SRT has been employed by Media Synopsis, in collaboration with Comarcal TV y Dragonfly Film, for the low latency video retransmission of the Águilas Carnival (Murcia).
SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) is a streaming video transport protocol. free open source, which allows the delivery of high-quality video, securely and at low latency, over the Internet. This alternative, as highlighted by Sinopsis, uses “a smaller volume of resources” and “optimizes transmission channels.” SRT thus serves to generate the connection between two video points with “ultra-low” latency, and “great image quality” over unmanaged networks.
Synopsis Media believes that the SRT protocol will eventually become “the de facto standard for streaming and contribution of low latency signal on the Internet.” “In fact, our team already has extensive knowledge of its use in live broadcasts for television networks such as Teledeporte, with which, among others, we collaborate to broadcast the BSR league,” points out the production company itself.
