Antena 3 Internacional arrives in Holland with KPN
Through an agreement with the operator KPN, the third with the largest market share in its country. Antena 3 Internacional is already present in a total of 22 countries and on the continents of Europe and America.
Antena 3 continues its expansion throughout the world. Starting this Thursday, January 24, the international channel of Antena 3 arrives in Holland after reaching an agreement with the operator KPN to include the broadcast of the channel in its basic package and thus become one of the new channels that are part of the only launch that KPN will make in 2013.
KPN occupies the third position in the Dutch television market with 20% market share, behind Ziggo and UPC (2012 data). In the specific digital TV market, KPN occupies second position after Ziggo. The Antena 3 Internacional signal will be distributed in the basic KPN package, which last year experienced strong growth of 59% compared to 2011.
In this way, Holland is the third country in Europe that will have the Antena 3 Group's international channel grid starting this week, after Switzerland (where it has been established for more than a year) and France, the first European country to receive the Antena 3 International signal in 2010.
44 million viewers
Antena 3 Internacional's broadcast is made up of content from the group's different channels and offers 24 hours of family programming. Among its offerings, successes such as the fiction Amar es para siempre stand out, Great Hotel, The Secret of Puente Viejo, el talent show Your face sounds familiar to me, the chain's flagship programs The Wheel of Luck, The Anthill 3.0 o Karlos Arguiñano in your kitchen, as well as the informative offer of Antena 3 Noticias, both the different live editions and its morning show Public Mirror.
The international channel of Antena 3, which has been operating since 1996, broadcasts live, 24 hours a day, via satellite and reaches homes through the main cable and satellite operators.
In addition to France, Switzerland and the recent arrival in Holland, its signal is received in more than 11 million homes and 44 million viewers in 19 other American countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, USA, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela, as well as in the Trinidad Islands, Curaçao and Aruba
