Es precisamente en las capas más jóvenes de la población donde el consumo no tradicional de televisión gana terreno.

Connected television

According to a study by ComScore, 16% of Canadian adults no longer consume any form of traditional television, opting exclusively for online streaming services.

45% of those surveyed admit to watching both traditional television and online video, 35% watch only television and 4% do not consume television content by any means.

It is precisely in the youngest layers of the population where non-traditional television consumption gains ground. One in four respondents between 18 and 24 years old admits to having opted only for streaming, a proportion that is reduced to one in five between 25 and 34. Those over 45 years old are, on the other hand, the most faithful to traditional consumption on television.

Although the number of viewers has completely broken with traditional television consumption, we must not lose sight of the fact that in the population group between 18 and 24 years old, streaming consumption has grown by 60% since 2010. This rate rises to 270% in the same period for the age group between 25 and 34%.
