The five projects selected in the 2013 animation call have been presented this Thursday at the Cartoon Forum de Toulouse.

Animation projects co -financed by TVE

TVE has presented this Thursday at the Cartoon Forum in Toulouse, the main animation production forum in Europe, the five new series in which it will become part of co-production regime selected in the 2013 animation call. They arrive endorsed by their existence in the editorial world, such as ‘Bat-Pat’, ‘Four and a half friends and a half’ or ‘mica’; from video games, such as ‘Invizimals’; or supported by their audience success, in the case of the second season of ‘Champions Champions’.

RTVE has made its selection following “viability criteria, interest for childhood and lace in clan emissions”. "RTVE is committed to reliable products supported by its existence in the publishing world, video games or, as in the case of Champions Challenge, after a first season in which it has reached a great success of audience and acceptance among children." This has been announced by the deputy director of children's content in TVE, Yago Fandiño, during the presentation with ICEX and Diboos of the White Paper of the Spanish animation sector in the Cartoon Forum of Toulouse. This forum has gathered European animation producers since 1990 and in this edition some 250 broadcasters from 30 countries meet.

The five chosen projects

  • 'Bat-Pat'. Based on the best-seller of the same name, the series follows the adventures of Bat-Pat and the Silver brothers, who are dedicated to revealing mysteries and crossing roads, finding supernatural creatures that stalk, wad, shout, shout and appear on the dark night. For children from 6 to 12 years old, a mixture of comedy and terror that co -produces Atlantyca Entertainment, Imira Entertainment, Inspidea and RTVE.
  • 'Incusimals'. The young scientist Keni Nakamura has discovered invisible creatures that live around us and has found a portal that connects its dimension and ours. An unimaginable adventure to solve the most fantastic mysteries in the world of invizimals. First transmedia television series that carries augmented reality techniques to the screen. Based on a successful video game saga for PSP, PSVita and PS3 created by the Spanish study Novarama and launched by Sony Computer Entertaiment Europe. Co -produced by Sony Computer Entertainments and RTVE, is aimed at children from 6 to 10 years.
  • ‘Four and a half friends’. Destined to children from 6 to 10 years, the series, based on the collection of international success books written by the German Joachim, Friedrich, tells the detective adventures of Charly, Estefi, Rabanito and Fede and his peculiar friend, a street dog called precious. They love to have fun solving mysteries. They co -produce edebé and rtve.
  • ‘Mica’. For children aged 3 to 6, this series tells the adventures of an imaginative, cheerful and extroverted girl, who faces any challenge with tons of enthusiasm. Mica also keeps a small secret: the book of the books, called Lio, who lives in his garden den. Co -produces Entertainment, Santillana and RTVE.
  • ‘Champions 2’ Challenge. Aimed at children from 6 to 9 years old. Zak, Cloe, Kiet and Fenzy are four unpopular boys from the land and without any talent for sport. One day they find some bracelets that transport them to another dimension. There they know the teacher Tänpo, who explains that the Empire of the Zorn is conquering all the dimensions of the multiverse. The earth is in danger and, if they want to save it, there will only be one way: they will have to overcome their weaknesses, learn the art of Sandokai until they become warriors and win the great multiverse tournament.
