More FTTH hires than xDSL
The total number of broadband lines in Spain stood at 11.86 million connections at the end of July, while that of FTTH now amounts to 468,910 lines.
According to the data published by the CMT in its latest CMT Monthly Note, during the month of July, the contracting of FTTH lines (+22,052 lines) exceeded the contracting of broadband lines (xDSL), with 12,418 new connections.
For their part, cable lines (HFC) fell by 19,395 connections.
The total number of broadband lines stood at 11.86 million connections at the end of July, 5.1% more than in July of the previous year. The total number of lines with direct fiber to the home amounted to 468,910 lines.
By operators, Telefónica recorded a net gain of 3,374 broadband lines, alternative operators 31,212 lines and cable operators lost 19,511 lines.
