DaVinci Resolve version 10.1 includes innovative editing features, XML file import for FCP X 10.1 and FCP 7 users, and new tools for stereoscopic 3D imaging.

Blackmagic Design has announced the release of the new version 10.1 of DaVinci Resolve software, which offers new features for stereoscopic 3D images, editing tools and compatibility with Final Cut Pro X 10.1.

DaVinci Resolve version 10.1 includes innovative editing features that allow the user to preview and align multiple shots during editing so they can show the client different options on each shot directly from the timeline. The editor can now copy individual sequences by simply dragging and dropping them onto the timeline for editing, making it easy to use the same footage in different parts of the edit.

The improved editing tools also allow you to crop sequences composed of frames in DNG and DPX format, which reduces their transfer time, as well as use titles in rich text format to be able to individually adjust the size, position and color of each character directly from the editing tab.

DaVinci Resolve 10.1 also includes XML file import improvements for FCP X 10.1 and FCP 7 users. FCP Additionally, reframing of shots done during editing with Final Cut Pro will appear more accurately on the DaVinci Resolve timeline.

3D tools

Customers who have licensed the software will have better tools for 3D stereoscopic imaging, including a timeline for multiple stereoscopic sequences, as well as convergence adjustments and more developed automatic alignment functions.
