Tom Canavan, new president of Media Links

Canavan has held positions of different responsibility in companies such as Ascent Media Group or Signiant.

Media Links, a subsidiary of Media Global Links and developer of solutions for broadcast and transport networks over IP, has appointed Tom Canavan as president, replacing John Dale.

Following his appointment, Canavan stated that "the media industry is moving faster and faster towards a total IP transport model. Media Links has proven to be a young and highly respected leader in this technology. I am very excited to participate with such an innovative company, in this rapidly expanding and critical technology space. Along with the company's competitive advantages, I look forward to leveraging my strengths to accelerate our growth plans."

The new president has a long career of more than 25 years in the media and technology industry, having held positions of different responsibility in companies such as Ascent Media Group, Signiant, Media Industry Consultant or TBD Media Group.

Graduated from the University of Notre Dame, he is an active member of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) and the Sports Video Group (SVG).
