Tektronix upgrades its WFM8300 waveform monitor to 4K

A new function saves costs and speeds up test and measurement actions with a single waveform monitor.

Tektronix WFM8300

Tektronix has presented at NAB 2014, in Las Vegas, the new 4K readout function for the WFM8300, the waveform monitor for 3840x2160 UHDTV resolutions. To support the transfer rate requirements of any 4K content, the WFM8300 features a high-performance build.

Thanks to this equipment, current and future users will avoid the expense of having to purchase new waveform monitors to work in 4K environments.

Eben Jenkins, general manager of the video product range at Tektronix, highlighted that "implementing 4K technology is an important step and investment for any organization. Customers who have already purchased or intend to purchase the WFM8300 will be able to incorporate the function with 4K support as an upgrade, reducing costs and risks. Now, professionals will be able to renew their equipment calmly, knowing that, when 4K takes off, they will be able to easily upgrade this product.
