Eugeni Bonet full of screens, projections and writings… the MACBA
The Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) follows the career of this artist, curator and writer in an exhibition that covers his audiovisual programming, his artistic practice and his writings.
The exhibition The eye listens. Eugeni Bonet: screens, projections, writings, which has just opened the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA), follows the artistic career of this curator and writer born in the Catalan capital in 1954, from the early seventies to the present, with pieces that have not been seen before such as “film sculptures.”
The project covers the work of Eugeni Bonet (Barcelona, 1954), artist, curator and writer, from the early seventies to the present, through three large blocks: his audiovisual programming, his artistic practice and his writings.
This proposal is made up of three large blocks: screens, which show Bonet's activity as curator and programmer based on six of his audiovisual programmings; screenings, dedicated to Bonet's artistic practice; and writings, articulated around the book Eugeni Bonet. Writings of sight and hearing and of this microsite, which includes an extensive collection of downloadable texts to expand the contents of the publication.
The exhibition will be open until August 31.
