Sgo releases version 2.0 of Mamba FX

Sgo has introduced significant improvements to its compositing software, Mamba FX. Now, version 2.0 provides additional advanced features that will provide composers with endless opportunities and possibilities to enhance their creativity.

Mamba FX tools expand Sgo's line of solutions, building on Mistika's powerful composition.

Among the new features of version 2, the Layer Route Effect tool stands out, which provides associated functions for working with multilayer EXR files.

These files can carry multiple image streams, as well as metadata, in a single file. They are commonly used to contain multiple CGI renders or to carry multiple matte or alpha channels. Mamba FX 2.0 includes functions to split and route multiple layers, allowing other Mamba FX compositing tools to act on individual elements during the compositing phase.

Additionally, all 'Spatial Isolation Keyer' interfaces with Mamba FX metadata can be consolidated from the CGI software via EXR files. This allows for advanced compositing techniques such as isolating elements of a scene by their 3D (XYZ), their surface direction, their object ID, or their material ID.

The new Mamba FX 2.0 also provides high speed with functions such as 'point cloud shape tracker' that allows composers to make a 2D roto-shape track very quickly.
