AJA RAW CION, now compatible with Adobe Premiere Pro CC

Now the creative benefits will be enhanced by a workflow with CION camera RAW format support in Premiere.

AJA Video Systems has announced at IBC that its RAW CION camera format will soon be supported by Adobe Premiere Pro CC.

Simon Williams, director of strategic relationships at Adobe, highlighted that "the reliability and performance of AJA products in audio, video, I/O, recording and digital streaming are very well established and we are very pleased to see them enter the camera market with CION. Now the creative advantages will be enhanced by a workflow with AJA Raw CION camera format support in our product."

AJA RAW support is available for the Cinema DNG format and enables a familiar and powerful workflow when maximum flexibility is needed for color VFX, feature lighting and complex work.

For his part, Nick RashBy, president of AJA, maintains that "while CION allows working with a multitude of ProRes codecs and other options for direct flow in editing, consumers who want the ultimate in color range and flexibility will be able to choose to work with material from CION directly in their Adobe systems."

High-end camera accessories

The features and ergonomic design of the new AJA CION and its shooting capacity in 4K/Ultra HD and 2K/HD resolution are attracting the attention of the industry.
