During a presentation day, Evertz and Eurocom have shown a workflow with encoding, decoding and reception of signals under the JPEG2000 standard through an IP matrix.

Eurocom y Evertz This Friday in Madrid they organized a conference focused on solutions for IP connectivity on television.

Evertz technology allows advanced management of signal traffic over IP, being able to send and receive at various points in the facilities of a broadcaster or production company, thus allowing all video signals to be moved between different rooms or points of a workflow through IP.

During the day, a workflow was shown with encoding, decoding and reception of signals under the JPEG2000 standard through an IP matrix.

In the demo, several JPEG2000 signals arrived at a matrix that managed and combined them, taking them to a remote point where they were directly decoded.

Eurocom y Evertz Pioneers in IP environments

Eurocom and Evertz have shown the manufacturer's ability to work in IP environments without the need for converters since all its equipment is IP Ready. Evertz was one of the pioneering manufacturers in the convergence between broadcast and IP. In fact, a decade ago its multiscreens already worked internally in IP.

During this day, professionals have been able to learn about the entire range of Evertz solutions from multiscreens, video walls, RF and management systems such as Vistalink, Magnum and Vue.

Estos sistemas de gestión permiten al usuario montar un mapa de gestión de todos los equipos y configurarlos a medida. Mientras que Magnum permite la interconexión y control de equipos, Vue permite configurar el monitorado de datos en tiempo real, tanto local como remotamente.

Una de las soluciones estrella de Evertz para alto nivel de instalaciones es su matriz de hasta 2304 puertos en 10GE, trabajando al mismo tiempo con hasta 10 Tbs. La matriz trabaja tanto en SD como en HD, 3G y 4K con cableado tanto coaxial, como Ethernet o fibra óptica.

Esta matriz es totalmente modular, por lo que el usuario puede trabajar con cualquier tipo de señales con solo cambiar la tarjeta de entrada. Su control corre a cargo del sistema Vistalink, pudiendo ofrecer un mapa de gestión de dispositivos, alarmas, y control de equipos tanto propios como de terceros.

En este evento, también hemos podido comprobar que la flexibilidad de sus matrices va desde las de gran formato como la 16×16 (EMX1-FR).

Durante este evento se han mostrado otros sistemas como un encapsulador /desencapsulador banda base SDI ↔ IP 10GE (12 entradas y 12 salidas en SDI y 4 puertos de entrada salida 10GE por fibra óptica), un codificador de SDI a IP 10/100/1000 RJ45, un decodificador de IP 10/100/1000 RJ45 a SDI, una matriz IP de 16 puertos (12 puertos ETH 10/100/1000 RJ45 más 4 puertos 10 GE en fibra óptica) y un panel de control con dos pantallas táctiles en LCD y 23 teclas LCD.
