Evertz matrices in Movistar+ (Telefónica)

Eurocom Broadcast has recently supplied several video switching systems to Telefónica destined for the production area of Movistar+ and other occasional services of the operator.

In this project, we have chosen a headquarters Evertz EQX 26 model with a size of 576 x 1152 3G SDI downloaded to 504x504. This system has total redundancy in both sources, fans and controllers. Another point to highlight is also the redundancy at crossing points since it is not only on the card but said redundancy exists at each crossing point, which allows total reliability and security of the system, which is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

These matrices allow the migration and implementation of 4K and IP signals without requiring changing the chassis in the future.

In parallel, Eurocom has also supplied two IPX matrix for 64-port IP video signals and with the characteristic of being able to accept compressed and uncompressed IP signals. This system is also provided with total redundancy for greater peace of mind for the end user.

Both systems are controlled with the Magnum global management system from Evertz that allows communication with third-party equipment from other manufacturers. In addition, they have the Vistalink alarm manager capable of monitoring any incident or failure that may occur at all times.

For him Telefónica laboratory, Eurocom has supplied the same system on a smaller scale with an EQX10 matrix with a 32x32 configuration (expandable up to 180x180) along with two 16-port IPX matrices for IP signals.

Finally, it should be noted that Eurocom's technical staff has been responsible for providing the necessary operation and maintenance training to Telefónica users and operators.
