Quantel and Comtelsat close a distribution agreement

Comtelsat will distribute Quantel and Snell solutions in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Belize, Honduras and Nicaragua.

Comtelsat has closed an agreement with Quantel to become your distribution partner in Mexico and Central America for the complete portfolio of production and post-production systems specialized in news and sports, as well as for Snell Live TV and TV Everywhere products. Comtelsat will distribute these solutions in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Belize, Honduras and Nicaragua.

Since last September, the company Line Up, a subsidiary of Comtelsat in Brazil, began very successfully marketing Quantel and Snell products in the South American market.

Based on the good results, the decision was made to extend the agreement to represent the complete product portfolio for Mexico and South America.

Israel Gómez, general director of Comtelsat Broadcast, commented that "the relationship with Quantel and Snell is strategic for the growth of our business. Without a doubt, the quality, innovation and use of the latest technology make their products have great acceptance in the market."
