Movistar TV in Chile now exceeds 600,000 subscribers
Telefónica's pay TV platform already has 21% penetration in the Chilean market.
Movistar Chile closed 2014 with 601,000 pay TV accesses, which is equivalent to a growth of 19% compared to the end of 2013. With these results, the operator reached 21% pay TV market penetration.
The dynamism of Movistar Chile's HD segment stands out, which grew by 219%, thus surpassing the growth of Movistar's HD in the region (140%) and by far the regional average growth of the HD market (52%). In addition, Movistar Chile remains a leading operator with one of the largest offerings of HD channels in the country.
Rodrigo Sajuria, Product and Services Manager of Movistar Chile, commented that "pay TV is key in Telefónica's residential services offering.
