Ray Cross has resigned as president and CEO. After a decade at the helm of the British company and having built a solid foundation for the future, Cross, as Quantel has made public, “has decided that now is the right time to hand over the management of the company to another person in the next phase of the evolution of the business.”
Chris Hurley, Managing Director of Lloyds Development Capital and Quantel Board of Directors, said: "We are delighted that Tim Thorsteinson has joined Quantel to continue the company's transformation. Tim has a proven track record of creating value, and his knowledge and experience are a great fit to grow the combined Quantel Snell business strongly in a changing television industry. I would also like to thank Ray for all his hard work and achievements at Quantel over the last ten years.”
"I am very pleased to join Quantel. It is one of the largest independent companies in our industry, with world-class products and a rich history of innovation. I want to contribute to that tradition to create an organization 100% focused on helping our customers thrive in the world of media technology," said Thorsteinson.
