Mediaset Italy chooses the Smart Cam solution with Wi-Fi embedded from Smardtv

Mediaset will take advantage of Nagra Anycast PRM technology to provide added value to its premium catalog. The use of a CAM eliminates the complexity of supporting multiple DRM systems

Not the Italian platform Mediaset Premium y SmarDTV, company of the Kudelski group, they have successfully launched the First Ci Plus Wi-Fi CAM that allows access to both Broadcast content in Mediaset Premium and their OTT service on broadband in a single module.

The innovative SuncioT CAM with Wi-Fi embedded by SMARDTV combines a CI Plus and DVB-CI TV certified to become a “smart TV” by connecting the Mediaset Premium Play platform using the WiFi wireless connection embedded in the CAM. When downloading the Smart CAM control application suite available at Apple App Store and Android Google Play, users get access to more than 2,500 titles being able to use a smartphone or tablet to select their favorite titles to enjoy on their integrated televisions.

The result is a very compact solution without the need for a decoder or additional cables because the CAM slots perfectly fit into the CI interface that exists on all European television with a screen size greater than 30 cm.
