IBC anticipates the future of an increasingly connected industry
From September 10 to 15, the RAI Center in Amsterdam becomes the meeting point for 55,000 professionals from 170 countries and more than 1,700 exhibitors from all over the world.
Technology and innovative business models that drive the creation, management and delivery of audiovisual content to consumers wherever they are and whatever device they use will meet from September 10 to 15 at IBC 2015.
The RAI Center in Amsterdam thus becomes a showcase in which the latest trends such as the delivery of OTT content, IP production over user-defined networks, the evolution of digital cinema towards very high frame rates, Ultra High Definition or high dynamic range applications are just some of the issues that are being discussed these days.
In total, more than 55,000 professionals from 170 countries are expected to attend, who will learn about the latest innovations from 1,700 exhibitors from around the world.
In parallel with the exhibition (from September 11 to 15), IBC has scheduled an extensive program of sessions and round tables in which three hundred leading experts will share experiences.
As has become customary, it is advisable not to lose sight of the Big Screen in the main auditorium of the RAI, where the latest technologies in digital cinematography will be demonstrated, or the so-called IBC Futre Zone, where exhibitors gather with the most avant-garde projects and show interesting prototypes of hitherto unpublished technologies. It is curious to see how year after year this area becomes a precursor of what is to come such as the use of the HEVC standard, three-dimensional sound perception, monitoring of visual quality and, of course, 4K and even higher resolutions.
