Pablo Ramírez, new president of APPA

He will be accompanied on the new board of directors by production directors Fernando Victoria de Lecea and Pilar Robla as vice presidents.

The Association of Audiovisual Production Professionals (APPA) will now have the production director, Pablo Ramírez, as president.

APPA sent both the call and the electoral regulations to all members with the right to vote and, once the deadline for submitting candidatures had closed, voting took place last Friday, October 2, at an event held at the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain for the only candidacy received, headed by Pablo Ramírez.

In the task of these next two years, thus giving some continuity to the work carried out by its previous president, the production directors Fernando Victoria de Lecea and Pilar Robla will accompany him as vice presidents, in addition to seven members: Belén Bernuy, Leire Aurrecoechea, José Jaime Linares and Mª José Díez; Aurora Martínez, television production director; Alberto Poveda and Belén Sánchez, production managers.

Among its main objectives is to continue with the purpose of achieving greater professionalization of the sector, through the organization of specialized conferences and courses for partners and, in some cases, open to other audiovisual professionals, as well as the signing of collaboration agreements with other entities in response to the needs that arise from the sector and its professionals.
