Film Camp directed and taught by film director Pablo Berger, with extensive experience in filmmaking courses at the prestigious New York Film Academy (NYFA), was launched this weekend at La Base, Mediterranean Film School, located on the campus of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.

With it, students will learn to write, shoot and edit their own short films. And the philosophy of La Base is “you learn to make films by making films.” That is why the program is structured around the production of your own audiovisual works supervised and supervised by professionals with recognized experience, guided by the recently awarded the Order of Arts and Letters of France, and winner of ten Goya awards for the film snow white.

Over five consecutive weekends, in order to combine professional and academic tasks, students will attend practical classes in scriptwriting, production, direction and photography and editing.

Each student individually will work on their project, having telematic assistance at all times to resolve questions about the script, receive advice on locations, casting or questions related to production, so the course actually lasts one month.

For his part, Pablo Berger will combine the direction of this training offer with his next project Abracadabra, a Spanish-French co-production. It will be a black comedy with touches of drama, suspense and fantastic cinema, which will begin filming next summer 2016.
