Philippe Bernard will head Globecast
Globecast has appointed Philippe Bernard as new president and CEO, succeeding Olivier Barberot.
Bernard will drive the strategy of Globecast to position the company as a provider of fully global and integrated media solutions focusing on the changing needs of markets and customers, complementing its position as an operator of teleports and satellite services.
Philippe Bernard commented that "broadcasters and media companies are having to respond to evolving consumer habits. Globecast is perfectly positioned to help them take advantage of new market opportunities. We will continue to offer clients greater access to our expertise."
Globecast's position in the market is based on its global reach, supported by media centers in key locations around the world. This unique combination allows it to offer an end-to-end solution offering from media preparation to content distribution with a unified approach across all its territories.
A graduate of Ecole Polytechnique, Bernard joins Globecast from Orange, where he has been Executive Vice President of Quality, Experience and Customer Sales since July 2013. He was previously CEO of Transpac, before joining Orange Group as Vice President of Orange Business Solutions, based in the United Kingdom.
