Best Digital installs a Sony 4K digital projector

Cinematography Pereira has been in charge of the installation and commissioning of this SRX-515P projector, approved by the DCI.

Best Digital has incorporated the 4K SRX-515P projector from Sony. The project, implemented by Cinematography Pereira will allow Best Digital to offer its customers the best experience in high resolution images.

The DCI approved SRX-515P is a projector with an SXRD optical engine and a large aperture lens made of ELD glass to create a very fine point 4k image.

SRX-515P Projector at Best Digital (Photo: CSS)With a resolution of 4096 x 2160 and 8000:1 contrast, this projector is designed for screens up to 15 meters. It incorporates a light source system using six high-pressure mercury lamps, which simplifies its use and makes it more economical, easy to replace and safer.

This new installation has a large capacity for storage, ingestion and high-speed DCP transfer as it includes a USB 3.0 CRU data port for SATA and Gigabit Ethernet transfer to the central server. It has two standard HDMI inputs that allow the playback of alternative content such as live video and Blu-ray playback. In addition, it has a 15″ control panel that can be controlled remotely from iPad and Android tablets.
