AMC NETWORKS INTERNATIONAL IBERIA AND ICEMD organize the day ‘The Audiovisual Revolution: Television and Digital Content’

Next Friday, February 5, the Institute of the Digital Economy of ESIC (ICEMD) in collaboration with AMC Networks International Iberia, organizes the day The audiovisual revolution: television and digital content. In this way and thanks to the long experience of prominent managers led by the most important content companies in Spain, the challenges and opportunities that operators, suppliers, producers and brands have and will have in the future will be analyzed, following the increase in conventional television consumption and the incorporation of new forms of consumption.
Eduardo Zulueta, president of AMC Networks International Iberia and Latin America; Manuel Balsera, VP Sales and Marketing of AMC Networks International Iberia; Silvio González, CEO of Atresmedia; Ignacio García-Legaz, television director of Vodafone Spain; Ignacio Fernández-Vega, director of Movistar TV; Mandi Ciriza, SVP Lifestyle Channels from AMC Networks Iberia and Latin America; Ildefonso Tébar, Samsung Spain Marketing Manager; Fernando Ojeda, general director of Euskaltel; and Fernando Santiago, Technical Director of AIMC (Association for the Research of the Media), will be the professionals who analyze the panorama of the audiovisual sector, the linear television model versus non -linear television, the consumption and trends: telcos and new operators as well as the audiovisual consumer of the 21st century.
Currently, the audiovisual sector is in complete hatching and new television operators such as Wuaki and Netflix begin to incorporate tens of thousands of consumers into their ranks: the series have become one of the most widespread consumption products, and even generate brands and franchises of a high social impact.
To this is added the fact that 1 in 4 Spanish households already has payment television and, in the last 12 months, growth has accelerated to the different platforms. Meanwhile, generalist televisions, telecommunications operators and content suppliers have decided to bet more overwhelmed on online television, with the aim of engaging millions of consumers to television screens.
