AMC Networks International Iberia has appointed Jose Nabais as the company's new CTO. In the position, Nabais will be responsible for the equipment and technical facilities associated with the broadcast of AMCNII's 22 television channels.

Nabais will replace Rodolfo García in the Spanish and Portuguese market. Likewise, García moves to Latin America to perform his duties as Country Manager Argentina and CTO of AMCNI-Latin America.

With more than 20 years of experience in the field of computing and the management of new technologies, Nabais has been CTO and CIO at Media Capital TVI (Televisão Independente), Prisa's Media company in Portugal. In this position, Nabais managed the design, integration, launch and operation of all systems used by general and thematic television channels. In recent years, he has been part of the Media Capital Digital Committee and, as a Senior Consultant, has worked for several leading companies in the digital media industry, including Ericsson Broadcast Services, Altran and Vodafone Group Technologies.

Nabais has a degree in Computer and Electronic Engineering from the IST of Lisbon and has a Master's degree in Business Management from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

AMC Networks International Iberia produce actualmente 22 canales de televisión: AMC (España y Portugal), Canal Hollywood (España y Portugal), Sundance Channel, XTRM, Somos, Odisea, Odisseia, Canal Cocina, Canal Decasa, Sol Música, Buzz, Historia (España y Portugal), A&E (España y Portugal), Crimen + Investigación, Canal Panda (España y Portugal), Biggs, Mov y Blast.

Historia, A&E y Crimen + Investigación son producidos en el mercado ibérico a través de una Joint Venture con A+E Networks. Por su parte, Canal Hollywood Portugal, Canal Panda Portugal, Biggs y Mov son producidos en exclusiva para el mercado portugués a través de Dreamia, empresa participada al 50% por AMC Networks International Iberia y NOS.
