Chellomedia will now be AMC Networks International

In addition to Chellomedia, AMC Networks International will also include AMC/Sundance Channel Global, which operates in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia.

Following the acquisition of Chellomedia by AMC Networks at the beginning of the year, the channel provider will now operate under the name AMC Networks International.

In addition to Chellomedia, AMC Networks International will also include AMC/Sundance Channel Global, which operates in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia.

Ed Carroll, director of operations at AMC Networks, highlighted that “within the process of turning AMC Networks into a global media company, the name change of Chellomedia is the next step to integrate this group of channels.”

AMC Networks International will thus be composed of six operating units:

  • AMC Networks International-Asia-Pacific with the Sundance Channel, MGM Channel, WE tv and JimJam, under the direction of Bruce Tuchman who will combine his duties as president of AMC/Sundance Channel and MGM Channel Global.
  • AMC Networks International-Central Europe with the channels Sport 1, Sport 2, Sport M, OBN, Minimax, Megamax, Spektrum, Spektrum Home, TV Paprika, Film Mánia, Film Café, MGM Channel, under the direction of Mike Moriarty.
  • AMC Networks International-Iberia with the channels Canal Hollywood (Spain and Portugal), under the direction of Eduardo Zulueta.
  • AMC Networks International-Latin America con los canales MGM Channel, MGM Channel HD, Film & Arts, Europa Europa, elgourmet, Casa Club TV, Cosmopolitan TV, Ella, Canal (á), AM Sports, Reality TV, bajo dirección de Eduardo Zulueta.
  • AMC Networks International-EMEA con los canales CBS Reality, CBS Drama, CBS Action, CBS Europa, Horror Channel, Horror Channel Italy, JimJam, JimJam Polsat, Extreme Sports Channel, MGM Channel, Outdoor Channel, bajo dirección de Dermot Shortt.
  • AMC Networks International-DMC, a global media technology and distribution company based in Europe, which will operate under the direction of Mike Moriarty.
