Goya to the production in 'Nobody wants the night', a period filming in extreme conditions
The production work of Andrés Santana and Marta Miró in Isabel Coixet's film earns them a Goya that left no one cold...
Andrés Santana and Marta Miró won the Goya for best Production Management for their work on Nobody wants the night, the period film by Isabel Coixet, which was filmed in Norway and Bulgaria with a great deployment of resources and in extremely harsh atmospheric conditions, as Marta Miró recognizes.
“The team was very cold due to the low temperatures while filming outdoors, which meant harsh conditions,” explains Marta Miró.
It is a very elaborate production that is assimilated in aesthetics to northern European cinema, and that has been taken care of in detail by the production directors. It so happens that Andrés Santana is also the executive producer, and has hits such as Days numbered, Secrets of the heart or more recently Blackthorn. The films that bear his signature as producer or production director have so far achieved 60 nominations for these awards. Despite his experience and knowing all or almost all of the secrets of cinematographic art, Santana has only directed once.
Marta Miró, for her part, has participated in the production of films such as Fools, Small Lives o Rivals. Miró belongs to the group of women who have managed to create a space for reflection and artistic creation within the difficult audiovisual industry in Spain. In his work, he highlights his openness to new modes of expression, promoting and supporting works both in the field of fiction, with films or music videos.
