ISE 2016 opens its doors to AV-IT integration in the longest edition in its history

ISE 2016 brings together in Amsterdam from today until Friday (four days compared to three in previous editions) the latest audiovisual innovations from more than 1,100 exhibitors in what is already the largest European fair dedicated to AV-IT integration.

Definitely, WHEREAS 2016 will easily exceed the forecast of the 60,000 professionals expected to visit the twelve pavilions of the Amsterdam RAI Center, where there is not a single square meter left unoccupied for many months and surrounding venues, expectant to see the proposal of the 1,100 exhibitors who await them from today until next February 12.

As its organizers continually emphasize, InfoComm International y GIVE UP, “ISE 2016 will offer these days an unprecedented experience in audiovisual and IT integration”, which is completed from the day before the doors open, with an intense program of events, congresses, conferences and workshops to offer an exhibition, training and business event in all its dimensions.

More than 43,000 square meters, with all the pavilions and rooms occupied, to which in this edition has been added the new Amtrium building, which has been reserved entirely by Samsung Electronics, increases the exhibition proposal by 11% compared to the 2015 edition. Given this, those responsible for the Amsterdam RAI are building another pavilion that is expected to open in 2017.

As in previous editions (more details in Digital AV Magazine), yesterday the fourth edition of Smart Building Conference (SBC), an event prior to the opening of the venue's doors organized by Integrated Systems Events, together with the organizers of the event, in which industry experts from commercial and residential construction, home automation and automation, etc., such as Erik Ubels, IT and Workplace Services director at Deloitte, and Philip Vanhoutte, MD Plantronics, contributed their vision and trends in this growing market, in a packed capacity.

One of the novelties of this edition is the so-called Drone Arena, recently organized due to the demand of an emerging market area, located in the Foyer Park (at the back of the pavilion or hall 8), where from today manufacturers, security, etc. with a training area and practical demonstrations of its management.

Also new in this edition is Dolby Atmos Immersive Theatre, a collaboration between Arcam, Dolby and Genelec, specifically aimed at audio and its transmission in events, videos, movies and music. To the already traditional Residential Solutions Theatre, Commercial Solutions Theater and Unified Communications Theatre, the new Audio Solutions Theater is added, under the sponsorship of Tannoy and focused on audio developments and success stories.

The culture of training and business generation that the ISE organizers have promoted since its inception is also expanded even further in this edition, with the launch of a program of courses, training and professional certification in a wide range of technologies, together with the new Total Hospitality Technology forum, lasting one day, with conferences on innovation and integrated AV/IT management in the hotel sector.

The longest-lasting edition of ISE's successful history will be closed, on February 12, by Michio Kaku, one of the world's most important business gurus, with a presentation on trends in technology and commerce.
