Although Spanish Television's main bets for this edition of MIPTV in Cannes, which takes place from April 4 to 7, will be the series The Ministry of Time y six sisters, the Spanish public broadcaster will present new developments to the international market such as the series The Case and the movie The Broken Crown. As happens in the rest of the markets it serves, RTVE will offer its entire catalogue, which includes series such as Charles, King Emperor, Isabel y Acacias 38, who have achieved great success.

The Ministry of Time

The second season of The Ministry of Time It will be one of the great novelties of RTVE in this edition of MIPTV. A second installment with new and exciting adventures throughout the History of Spain. The most traveling patrol on television, composed of Rodolfo Sancho, Aura Garrido and Nacho Fresneda, returns with 13 chapters in which they will cross the doors of time with the aim that our History is not altered. They will find new companions, like a police officer from 1981 nicknamed Pacino, played by Hugo Silva, who arrives in 2016 chasing a serial killer. Throughout their travels, they will meet historical figures such as El Cid, Cervantes, Napoleon, Houdini, Christopher Columbus or Philip II, among others.

RTVE also presents the daily series in Cannes six sisters, a story of overcoming, of struggle, of false appearances and above all of love and emotions. It is set in Spain in the 1920s, a time of great contrasts, with many social inequalities and in which life is not easy, especially for women.

Another bet will be the series The Case: Chronicle of events. Based on real events, it is a journalistic investigative thriller that, in each of its 13 chapters, will show a crime inspired by those that were on the cover of the newspaper with the largest circulation in the 60s.

RTVE will also be present with its international channels: TVE Internacional and 24 Horas, and the new channel Star HD in high definition, which is broadcast for the American continent and offers the best fiction and entertainment.

The RTVE commercial team in Cannes will be headed by Rafael Bardem, deputy director of program sales and María Jesús Pérez, deputy director of channel sales.
