Mediapro will have two new mobile units in 4K
To equip them, the group will acquire 57 Panasonic AK-UC3000 cameras for television production of international events.
The commitment to 4K by the Mediapro group is becoming more evident every day. To its current mobile unit equipped for Ultra High Definition production, it will add two units with 4K technology. To do this, Mediapro will acquire a total of 57 new AK-UC3000 cameras from Panasonic intended for the television production of international events.
In this way, Mediapro, which currently has a 4K unit, 42 HD mobile units and 6 in SD, will now have two more prepared to work in ultra high definition. In addition, the Mediapro division in Argentina will have a mobile unit with 8 4K cameras. This is a milestone in the audiovisual field since they will be the first to operate in that country.
Over the last year, Mediapro has produced various BBVA League matches in 4K, including the last two “classics”. Mediapro Turkey has successfully produced numerous events in Ultra HD 4K, such as the Istanbul Indoor Athletics Championships, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Champions League matches. Outside the sports field, the broadcast of the first conference dedicated to Ultra HD video stands out, Satellite, Space and Technology Days powered by Turksat as well as the recording of the last two editions of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. The group currently has closed production and continuity agreements in 4K for Portugal and Türkiye.
Since its creation, Mediapro has stood out for being at the forefront of the technological field. It was the first communication group to have an HD factory and has carried out numerous 3D productions. Within the group, it has its own company specialized in broadcast engineering, Unitecnic, as well as an R&D department that directly promotes research.
